Hi everyone, I’m back from London and I am soooooo jetlagged. The first night after being awake for 24 hrs I slept four hours. The next night I slept 6 hrs. Last night I slept 9 hrs and I hope tonight I sleep 12 LOL. Update I did not sleep 12. I fell asleep at about 3 and slept until around 8 then went to bed and woke up at 6am. Jetlag suuuuucks!
I’m hoping to finally get some writing done tomorrow. It’s been way too long. This year I have written less than I have in any year since I published my first book in 2018. We’ve finally been able to put my parents house on the market and hope it sells soon. Then we can check one more thing off the long list of things we’ve had to deal with the past year.

Hi everyone! It’s been a fabulous adventure but it’s time to go home. I am anxious to avoid stairs and cobblestones for a while LOL. We’ve walked a LOT. The last day we visited the Globe Theatre which was amazing, and wandered around our neighborhood. There are so many shops that are new to me including one that makes bags/purses, out of old trucking tarps. They’re super cute and will last a lifetime. My husband was very excited since he’s a messenger bag fan so I’m happy that I finally found something he’ll like.

Hi everyone! Today we drove to London. I’ve never been here before so everything is new. Along the way we stopped at the Burghley House which was amazing! I’m always amazed how well some of these places are preserved, and constantly left wondering how much it cost to maintain them. There were many ceilings fully painted and continuing down the walls, lots of portraits, and apparently Elizabeth 1 visited there. Here’s a couple of them. The first is the Heaven room, the second is the Hell room lol.
Tomorrow we’re off to Stonehenge and other touristy things. Then we’re off to the post office to mail home some things so we don’t have to try to haul our heavy suitcases all over the place. I had the loveliest experience at breakfast. A reader said she reads both our books and a few of them she reads quarterly. The book of mine she said she loves is The List. I wrote that book during a very wet winter where it was going to rain for days on end. I had the idea when I started wondering just where people would go to get out of it if they had no home. I am not one of those authors who has readers who constantly tell them how much they love all their books so this really did mean a lot to me. Hi everyone! Tonight we’re in Cambridge UK. It’s so strange to wake up in Florence Italy and go to sleep in the UK. I’m looking forward to our drive to York since I’ve never been to England before and there is so much to see. We’ll be stopping along the way and playing tourist while trying not to get lost.
We did get to see David which was amazing and wandered through a lot of the museum he’s located in. It was filled with mostly religious paintings but some were from 1300 and many were from the 1400s. Still looking amazing and brightly colored. I took a picture of a street artists work from chalk that was amazing, and of course our drink of choice. You’ll also see one of the doors to the Domo which we didn’t go inside but walked by a few times also amazing!

Hi everyone, today I’m in Florence. We went here before on a bus tour but we were here only an afternoon and only in a small area. I’m amazed how small Florence actually is. It’s streets are very narrow and there are many of them. We’re near the river and that’s been great. Lots of places to eat nearby and plenty to look at. Today we went on a tour of the area and it really is beautiful here. It’s still hot, still humid, and I’m hoping when we get to York it’ll be a little less of both.

Hi everyone, I’m writing to you from Rome! Yesterday we walked all over the place and saw many amazing thing. A big part of what I love about Rome is how there are ruins all over the place, and so much history it’s mind blowing. We went to the Trevi Fountain, it’s beautiful but very very crowded. We went to the Capitoline Museums and ended up going to two of them before riding the hop on hop off bus to the Panthenon. It was way too crowded to go in so we decided to wait another day for that one.
Today we’ll go to the Coliseum for the lower tour. We did the upper tour last time so we’re excited to see how different this one is.

Hi everyone! I’m trying to organize my packing and I am SO thankful I have a free day tomorrow to make sure I have everything. Traveling out of the country to a book convention is a little daunting. I want to take enough books and swag to make it fun, but not too much that I have to bring home LOL. We’ll also be playing tourist and seeing lots of interesting things in Italy and the UK. I’ll try to post some of our adventures. I’m going to try to keep posting my newsletter, but like I mentioned before it depends how busy we are.

Pride kommt nach Foggy Basin. Nun ja, eigentlich gab es das schon immer, aber dieses Jahr gibt es ein offizielles Festival, um es zu feiern. Jack ist begeistert und meldet sich sofort freiwillig, um einen „Nuts and Bolts“-Festwagen für die Parade sowie einen Angelstand im Park vor der Drag-Show zu organisieren. Er ist völlig aus dem Häuschen, und als er Hudson erzählt, dass sie Einhornkostüme tragen werden, zögert Hudson zwar, stimmt dann aber zu – und natürlich werden auch Isaac und Tig mit von der Partie sein.
Jack und Tig haben den Pride schon einmal miterlebt und sind neugierig, was Foggy Basin geplant hat. Die Stadt mag klein sein, aber sie steckt voller Herz und vieler neugieriger Menschen. Darunter sind auch ein paar unbekannte Gesichter, die vielleicht sogar bleiben, nachdem sie den letzten Glitzer von der Straße gefegt haben.
Der Pride ist endlich in der kleinen Stadt Foggy Basin angekommen. Sie ist vor allem für ihre Landwirtschaft und die Menschen bekannt, die dort leben.
