Welcome to the Weekend!

Hi everyone! This weekend I’m trying to get my Spooky BookBox and my next writing project organized. I did put together a mega box that I’ll have up on Payhip tomorrow, here’s the link: https://payhip.com/b/Fc1Ew These are limited. I’m still not sure I’ll put it on TikTok but I will also have a Spooky Blind Date Box too.

I have a friend who is in Rome this week and it’s so funny how when you go somewhere you see so many things but then when someone else goes they see the same things but differently. Her pictures make me so anxious to go and make me want to see even more. Italy is amazing and I really cannot wait to see more of it.

I have two books that are started that I would REALLY love to finish for October so wish me luck. Foggy Basin Christmas preorders should start going up this week. It’s always fun to see what they’re all up to for the holidays.

Foggy Basin Season Three

https://books2read.com/HerdsandHooves

https://mybook.to/FoggyBasin3

Keith Brooks has lived in Foggy Basin for all of his thirty-eight years and cannot imagine any reason to change that. He’s made a life for himself here trimming cattle hooves and occasionally working as a farrier when one of the nearby horse ranches needs it.

Bart Martin grew up in a suburb of Sacramento. Where conveniences are nearby, and he’s content with his life if not a little lonely and bored. Until he receives a call from his uncle, who lives in a tiny town in northern California that’s barely big enough to be on the map.

Bart is out of his element when he arrives at Foggy Basin during a Pride parade, and after getting lost. Lucky for him, Keith offers to help. He’s not sure he should trust the gruff man with arms the size of tree trunks, but he’s desperate. It’s a small decision that could change both their lives and force this city boy to learn to enjoy a life that he’s never considered.

Welcome to Foggy Basin. Nestled at the base of the foothills in northern California, this small town is full of characters just waiting to tell you their story. Whether you’re just passing through or you decide to stay a while longer, you’ll always find a warm welcome from the townsfolk. From farmers and animal rescues to artists and small business owners. Foggy Basin has it all.

(Ghost Haunted)

https://books2read.com/u/bw6gGG

He’d grown lonely, and the prospect of living out his existence with a mate was too hard to ignore. Which is how he ended up in a grave in the cemetery.

Blake Miller has listened to his grandfather talk about the vampire buried with his treasure of gold for as long as he can remember. One night he enlists his friend Aaron, to finally put those stories to rest.

What they discover that night is far different than either of them imagined. Blake faces a series of unwanted events that he cannot resist and is helpless to ignore. The life he knows is over, but the alternative may cost him more than a little blood.

Looking for love isn’t easy when you’re an antisocial troll.

Gunnar has existed near the border of the monster world in the wilds of Iceland for centuries only straying into the human world occasionally out of boredom. He finds many of their belongings they’ve dropped while exploring. One of those items was a phone and after attempting to figure out how it works, Gunnar finds an app that intrigues him, Monster Match.

Flynn Davies has worked in the lumber industry since he was old enough to apply, but working in the woods can be lonely, and he spends more and more time scrolling the mysterious app he’s heard so much about. When he begins to chat with a mysterious creature, he wonders if there could be a perfect match for him that’s not human.

The past decade has been lonely for Gunnar, and he longs for someone to share his life with, even if that means changing his life. When he arrives at Elder Ridge, he quickly realizes how different life is here, but maybe the annoying human he’s been chatting with can help him learn more about this strange new world.

Tuesday Update (Barely!)

Hi everyone! I KNEW I needed to do my newsletter yesterday and somehow managed to forget to do it. I have two great sales this week if you love paranormal romance. I also have another translation release, and Guy Veryzer just finished Herds and Hooves on audio. It’s been a busy week already and I really have no clue why. I’m going to post my yearly Halloween Book Box hopefully on Thursday. I’m only able to offer it until September 21 because I leave on September 23. I’ll open it again when I get back but that’s not until October 19. I’m not sure if I’ll post it to TikTok shop or only on my PayHip store. Most likely it will only be on my PayHip store.

I got my paperback copies of Herds and Hooves today they turned out so good! I also ordered a few copies of the Vallely Ghosts collection 1 and 2. They are HUGE. I’m actually shocked how chonky they are, but I love it.

Here’s all the good stuff!

Tuesday Update!

Hi everyone! The past two nights I keep hearing something in my ceiling. I thought it was a rat at first but then it sort of sounded like it might be running on the roof not on the inside of the attic. I heard it again and I still have no clue what it is. I did go around the house today and check for any space that a creature could get in. I found two spots that I shoved so much steel wool into if it’s inside it’s there for good now LOL. It’s very unnerving to hear something above you at 3 AM so hopefully this fixes it.

I’ve been working on a short for an anthology that will then be part of a series. It’s about two men that are obsessed with weather. One is a climatologist and the other is an atmospheric scientist. After a run in with a tornado they decide California has enough weather for them to study and not worry quite so much. I’m not sure when I’ll start the series, but it’s been great meeting the characters. And I also need to start my Foggy Basin Christmas short!!! Those are always fun to write.

I rereleased the second Valley Ghosts book, Ghost Haunted in German. So if you’re a German reader the third book will be coming soon and the rest soon to follow.

Tuesday Update!

Hi everyone! The last two Foggy Basin books will be released this week. I can’t believe it’s over so soon. We really have had a lot of fun working as a group and next year we’ll be back! Maybe with some new authors and with totally new projects in the Foggy Basin world. Right now Guy Veryzer is working on the audiobook of Herds and Hooves so hopefully it’ll be out soon!

Anyone here from York UK that’s going to Rainbow Bookfest? If you are and you don’t have your ticket yet, email me. I have two tickets that I would love to give to someone attending.

I think I mentioned I had gotten rights back to The Valley Ghosts Series in German. Well I have republished Ghost Hunted and hope to get the others up soon! I’ll link it below.

Here’s the good stuff!

Herds and Hooves

Den Geist gejagt (Valley Ghosts Serie 1)

https://books2read.com/GhostHuntedGerman

Hudson Carter has been working in Sacramento for the past ten years, managing a big box store. He left Foggy Basin for college in the city and he never once looked back. His parents have owned the hardware store in town for two generations, and he’d hoped to avoid the same fate, but when his father tells him his plans to either sell the store or close it, he has a change of heart.

Hudson has been single for years, and a few bad breakups have left him jaded about finding the perfect partner. But he’s not prepared for the cute, and much younger man who knows far more than he does about running the hardware store and isn’t afraid to tell him. It’s time for this city boy to embrace his country roots and find out what really matters in his life, and a certain country boy is more than willing to help. #age gap, #city/country, #workplace romance, #small town romance

Since being thrown out of his home by his parents, Caden has been struggling to survive on the streets. He lives in constant fear, stresses over his next meal, and dreads trying to find a safe place to sleep at night. He eventually finds an unlocked car and settles in to sleep, but is soon interrupted when someone steals the car. With little choice but to ride along, Caden soon learns that first impressions aren’t always correct.

Seventeen-year-old Damario has been raising his little brother and sister by himself since his parents were deported. He never knew how hard it was going to be paying the bills and making sure there was always food on the table. Or how hard it would be to hold his family together when they all depended on him to do it. He finds himself stealing cars to make ends meet, but he never expected to find someone sleeping in the back of one of them. And he really didn’t expect this stowaway to change his life.

When Damario brings Caden home, it was supposed to be just for a shower and a hot meal, but he can hardly kick him out onto the streets again. There is no way he could have seen that by saving Caden that night, he was also saving himself. When Damario’s world starts to fall apart, they both realize that the answer to all of their problems is helping each other, and although the world tries to drive them apart, they really are better together.

I need to write a short story by the end of the month for an anthology and I will FINALLY have time to write more since we’re hiring a cleaning company to deep clean the bathrooms and kitchen at my parents house. We tried, but we’re tired, and I’m old LOL. I am sooooooo over it at this point. We’ve gone every weekend but four for the past five months. Time to bring in the experts.

Flights and Sights

Foggy Basin Season 3

https://books2read.com/flightsandsights

Callum is counting down the days until he can escape Foggy Basin again. One month. One family reunion. Zero intentions of staying. Falling for Paxton, the charming, award-winning meadery owner he meets mid-flight while talking him through a panic attack, was never part of the plan.

Fate has other ideas. Reunited in Foggy Basin, their instant connection deepens over Paxton’s brews, late night conversations, and family reunion events, when Paxton volunteers to attend as Callum’s new boyfriend to shield him from his terrible ex. When Paxton’s dream of expanding his meadery is threatened by a stubborn developer, Callum uses the one thing he’s always trusted–his words–to help Paxton fight back. What starts as a mutual favor turns into a shared mission… and something dangerously close to love.

With family expectations closing in and his carefully planned escape uncertain, Callum has to decide if Foggy Basin is just another stop on his journey, or the place where he decides to return for good.

Flights and Sights is a low-angst, small town, spicy MM romance that includes fake dating, nosy family, honey-sweet chemistry, and finding a love worth staying for.

I’ve only just arrived in this small town and I’ve managed to make an enemy, so it’s a surprise when he offers me a job. Zane is uptight and can’t seem to stand my presence so I’m surprised when he throws down a challenge. One I don’t hesitate to accept. But I soon find out there’s more to Zane than I realised and an attraction I can’t deny.

Zane

There’s something about the dark-haired stranger in town that intrigues me, but I can’t say I like him. His easy going manner rubs me up the wrong way. But he gets under my skin and when I’m forced to accept his help he brings out another side of me. But wanting him has consequences so it’s good he’s only in town for a short time.

Bales and Brawn is a grumpy/sunshine, boss/employee romance with a double bi-awakening and a demi-sexual rep. Throw in some forced proximity, only one bed and some hurt/comfort and even the slowest of romances will start to burn.

Herds and Hooves

Isaac Grant has lived in Foggy Basin for all of his twenty-three years. Everything was perfect until his favorite friend with benefits, Jack, met the love of his life. Sure, he was happy for Jack, but he missed him and wanted someone of his own to keep him warm at night, or to get into trouble with.

Tig Sawyer left Foggy Basin after only living there for a little over a year. He graduated from high school and moved onto an out-of-state college and, for the most part, never looked back. But memories of that slower pace always came back to him when he was neck deep in work, and his personal life.

Isaac was never looking for a relationship and was more than happy to live his life loose and free, but since meeting Tig, he wonders why he never wanted someone of his own. He also questions why someone like Tig, who has his life together and always seems happy as hell, would want to take him on. But there’s something in the way Tig looks at him that says he’s more than willing.

Welcome to Foggy Basin Season Two. Just passing through? No problem. Here to stay, well, better find your place. Sit back, relax and get to know the townsfolk. They love hard and play even harder. Each book is a standalone but why not stay and get to know us and read them all.

He takes off, not sure he’s up to the challenge, and when he has mechanical trouble a few hours away from home, he questions his choice even more.

Striker Johnson is just out buying lunch for the guys at the shop when he notices the handsome stranger in the parking lot checking over his Harley and looking confused. He approaches him and offers his help. The next few hours fly by, and Kace asks Striker to join him.

It’s the trip of a lifetime for them both, one man looking to ease his grief, the other riding toward emotions he has no hope of controlling. One way or another they’ll have to decide if they ride together or separately, when life throws them one more curve.

Boss and Brat

Brina Brady

Series: https://mybook.to/FoggyBasin3

Ethan Evans has spent his whole life doing what everyone else wants; working the ranch, pretending he’s straight, and trying not to drown under the weight of his parents’ expectations. After failing out of college and getting kicked into the barn like an unwanted stray, he’s stuck under the watchful eye of the new ranch boss… a man he can’t stop noticing.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Carter Higgins shows up at Willow Creek Ranch looking like he stepped out of a modern Western—rugged, calm, and carrying the quiet authority that makes people straighten up without being asked. He’s got a past he doesn’t talk about and a family he’d rather forget. What he does have is discipline, a degree in Agricultural Business, and a talent for reading people like open books.

Ethan’s trouble. Carter sees it instantly. But he also sees the fear, the longing, and the spark Ethan tries so hard to hide. Carter knows that look—he’s worn it himself.

As the two of them clash, circle, and collide in the dusty heat of Foggy Basin, lines blur fast. Ethan wants freedom. Carter wants peace. Neither expects to want the other.

Avery

One night with a handsome ex-bodyguard was all it took. Five months later, and I’m still burning for him. Moving to a small town to chase my dream of becoming a designer was supposed to be strictly professional, but the moment I lock eyes with Gideon again, my career isn’t the only thing constantly on my mind. He’s incredibly sweet, fiercely protective, and dedicated to his work, but can I convince him that what we have is the real deal?

Gideon

A gorgeous, passionate fashion designer and a quiet beekeeper don’t belong together. We’re complete opposites. I’m thirty-eight and ready to settle down. Meanwhile, Avery is living life and chasing his dream. He’s meant for bright runway lights, not to be tangled in my sheets. But when a cruel critic threatens his future, my protective instincts take over. I promised myself I wouldn’t catch feelings for him. Unfortunately, I think I’m already too late.

Dreams and Reptiles

Francis

I refer to the events of the past year as My Demise, and now that I’ve received a significant settlement, I’m ready to move on with my life. While visiting the town of Foggy Basin for their Pride Festival, I fell in love with the vibe. Lots of folks move there to start over, so why shouldn’t I? My cousin Derek shows me a quirky property for sale just outside of town, and once I see it, inspiration hits. Why not create a retreat where folks can make their dreams a reality? I ignored mine for way too long, but not anymore, and if I happen to run into the hot firefighter I shared a kiss with at Pride, well, I’ll take it as a sign.

Kendall

My entire adult life, I’ve taken care of people, and now I’m ready to start the next phase of my journey in California. I’ve spent years learning about various species of reptiles, and it just so happens that Grandma left me the perfect place to build a sanctuary. Only, I soon discover that my passion project is a bit trickier than I thought it would be. My spirits lift, however, when the saucy young guy I met at Pride moves in next door to me. At first, I worry perhaps he’s one of those wealthy people who come to town and throw their money around, but when I learn the truth about his past, I’m determined to make him see just how deserving of love he is.

Dreams and Reptiles is an age-gap, hurt/comfort romance between two men with bruised and battered hearts ready for a second chance at happiness in small-town California. For Mature Readers due to sexual content, frisky aunties, reptilian escape artists, and meddling polyamorous firefighters.

Welcome to Foggy Basin. Just passing through? No problem. Here to stay, well, better find your place. Sit back, relax and get to know the townsfolk. They love hard and play even harder. Each book is a standalone but why not stay and get to know us and read them all.

Tuesday Update!

Hi everyone! I hope you were able to get lots of books on Stuff your Kindle day! Nuts and Bolts is still free until the 12th so get it while you can!

We have reached the point at my parents house where we want to hire someone to do the rest LOL. The kitchen and the bathrooms, or as I call one of them, the murder bathroom, are too overwhelming. So we’re having someone come and take a look this week to see what they’d charge. Honestly I’d pay almost anything right now to have it done. It’s been five months of weekly visits to clean all day and drive two hours each way. So hopefully it’s over SOON!

I’m SO excited to share Herds and Hooves. Bart and Keith are the cutest, and as with most of my characters, they end up changing things up and keeping me guessing. Only a few more days until you can see for yourself. Gabbi Grey’s book released and I wanted to share it again since it was so crazy with Stuff Your Kindle Day so check it out, and get ready for the next one!

Here’s the good stuff!

Jack Hulbert has worked at the hardware store Nuts and Bolts since he was sixteen. He had big dreams of leaving town and traveling, but five years later, not much has changed, and he worries he’ll end up living the rest of his life in the small town he was born in.
