Weekend Update!

Hi everyone! It’s been a fabulous adventure but it’s time to go home. I am anxious to avoid stairs and cobblestones for a while LOL. We’ve walked a LOT. The last day we visited the Globe Theatre which was amazing, and wandered around our neighborhood. There are so many shops that are new to me including one that makes bags/purses, out of old trucking tarps. They’re super cute and will last a lifetime. My husband was very excited since he’s a messenger bag fan so I’m happy that I finally found something he’ll like.

Goodbye for now from London and I’ll be talking to you soon from California!

Tuesday Update!

Hi everyone! Today we drove to London. I’ve never been here before so everything is new. Along the way we stopped at the Burghley House which was amazing! I’m always amazed how well some of these places are preserved, and constantly left wondering how much it cost to maintain them. There were many ceilings fully painted and continuing down the walls, lots of portraits, and apparently Elizabeth 1 visited there. Here’s a couple of them. The first is the Heaven room, the second is the Hell room lol.

Tomorrow we’re off to Stonehenge and other touristy things. Then we’re off to the post office to mail home some things so we don’t have to try to haul our heavy suitcases all over the place. I had the loveliest experience at breakfast. A reader said she reads both our books and a few of them she reads quarterly. The book of mine she said she loves is The List. I wrote that book during a very wet winter where it was going to rain for days on end. I had the idea when I started wondering just where people would go to get out of it if they had no home. I am not one of those authors who has readers who constantly tell them how much they love all their books so this really did mean a lot to me. If you have a writer you love don’t hesitate to tell them, believe me, it’s very much appreciated.

Weekend Update!

Hi everyone! I’m late again! I’ve been cleaning out my closet and tossing things I haven’t worn in years. It’s nice to have it more organized and a great reminder that I do not need to buy ANYTHING for a long time. My cousin works with a shelter that needs clothes so I’m happy to give them to him to distribute. So another thing I can cross off my ever growing list of things to do. There is an anthology for the York convention I’ll be attending, Rainbow Bookfest. I’ll be sharing the link below where you can get an ebook copy. I wrote a short story that has all new characters for a series I have planned for next year. It’s about two men that are storm chasers and study the climate. It’s different for me, but I’ve always been a bit obsessed with weather so I’m anxious to write more in their world.

I have this weeks update for The Do Over but I’m not positive about next weeks. I’ll see how much I get done this week. Also while I’m gone I’ll only send my weekend newsletter. It’s just too hard to stay on schedule when traveling. I’m hoping to get some writing done while flying but sometimes that doesn’t work so we’ll see.

Welcome to the Weekend!

Hi everyone! It’s my first weekend of not having to go to my parents house!!! I really cannot even express how happy I am to not have to go there for a few weeks. I’m one of those people if I need to do something I do it, but afterwards I wonder how the heck I got through it. Going there every week feels that way. I had to put most of my writing projects on hold for five months and now I’m swamped with that. But its a good busy. I’ve missed writing everyday and working on the next project and now I can. At least for the next few weeks then I’ll be going to RARE in Florence Italy! After that we’re headed to Rainbow Bookfest in York UK. I still have two tickets to Rainbow Bookfest, if anyone is attending email me for tickets.

In case you didn’t notice, ALL the Foggy Basin books are out, and now we’re thinking about the Christmas shorts. The Foggy Basin bunch has a lot more to say and more adventures to experience, so come along for the ride. I have two books I started early in the year that I need to finish, but I really want to write something paranormal. Probably from watching more paranormal and horror movies lately. I watched The Lady in the Yard…meh. It wasn’t what I expected at all and its my least favorite kind of story where its all show no content and even the show wasn’t all that great LOL. I watched the golf series with Will Ferrill, The Hawk, it was wild and funny.

Hi everyone! I’m happy to say this is the LAST weekend I have to go to my parents property. We hired a company to haul off everything that was too big for us to handle and had them deep clean the house. I cannot believe how hard it is to get the smell of smoke and general funk out of a house. Hopefully this did the trick. And now I can start deep cleaning my own house because I am getting rid of everything I can.

All of the Foggy Basin books are now live and I’ll be reading every one of them. We’ve been so busy getting our books out I haven’t had the time, but now I will and I’m excited to read them. Then of course we’ll be moving on to our Christmas shorts. I’m not sure how many are participating in the Christmas series but we’ll know soon.

I’m currently still working on a short story for an anthology then after that I’m not sure if I’ll write my Foggy Basin Christmas short or if I’ll finish the two other books I have started LOL.

My husband has collected a LOT of books from my parents house. There are probably close to 1000. He plans to donate them to the little libraries all over the place. I love that part, but not so much the part of them filling my garage.
